Closing Year

To sum it up
I can't feel I'm on top
I know it has been a blast
But somehow I feel dead last

I got what I wished for
A career completed, down to the core
How come I'm still empty
How can I be completely happy

Why do I have to take this test
Is this the way to pour out my best?
I guess I need to proceed
Move forward and then succeed

The year's coming to an end
Still, there are things I can't mend
Shall I leave it be?
I guess I should first fix me.
